London, September 24th2018 – Challenge Advisory has Amy Wu – Founder & Chief Content Director of From Farms to Incubators to be a speaker at AG 4.0 in San Francisco from 14-15 November 2018.
Ms. Wu will be speaking on the ‘Women in Ag’ panel, a panel especially designed to empower women in the ag industry and to recognise the critical role women play in the agtech sector and innovation overall. Also, the stream will focus on the main challenges women are facing, and how to overcome the gap in agriculture between men and women.
Amy Wu is a veteran journalist with significant international reporting and teaching experience, having worked at Time magazine, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, for the USA Today Network; and has written for The New York Times, HuffPost and Wall Street Journal. She spent six years working in Hong Kong, widely reporting within the Asia-Pacific region including Shanghai and Singapore. She earned her master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
Speaking of Agriculture 4.0, Amy says “When it comes to the marriage of agriculture and technology, women play a critical role especially when it comes to innovation. There remain challenges for women in these fields in terms of the number of women-leaders, but I am confident that with time this will change. Within challenge there lies opportunity”

About From Farms to Incubators
From Farms to Incubators is a content-based start-up that uses digital storytelling including video, documentary, photography and articles, to spotlight women entrepreneurs and innovators dedicated to agtech. It includes an award-winning documentary that has been screened at Western Growers, Steinbeck Festival, Carmel International Film Festival, Cal State Monterey Bay, the EcoFarm Conference and the Salinas Valley AgTech Summit, and has served as a platform for events, conferences and forums on women and ag, agtech and tech that have drawn standing-room only audiences. The content to date has been featured in USA Today and The New Food Economy, and earned grants from the International Center for Journalists and the International Women’s Media Foundation. The startup is building out an online and interactive portal that will profile female innovators and investors in the agtech sector, and offer an interactive community where innovators, investors, technologists and growers can exchange knowledge, connect and potentially collaborate.
