London, August 09th 2018 – Challenge Advisory has invited Professor Jeffery Dahlberg – Director of the University of California, Agricultural and Natural Resources to be a speaker at AG40 in San Francisco from 14-15 November 2018.
Professor Dalhberg will be speaking on the panel, ‘Big Data in Agriculture’, where discussions will focus on getting a better understanding not only of the technologies that can help collect and manage ever-more precise and detailed data, but the questions presented after this in relation to how this information can be best used – implementation.
Jeff Dahlberg is the Director of the University of California, Agricultural and Natural Resources, Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension (KARE) Center and is an international expert on sorghum germplasm and research. He has worked and published in the fields of renewable fuels, sorghum genetics and germplasm, and nutrition. Dr. Dahlberg is a founding member and Past-President of the Whole Grains Council. His current position entails leadership and direction of the largest Research Extension Center in the UC-ANR system, with oversight of 330 acres of research land that hosts over 75 research projects on 49 different crops.
Speaking of Agriculture 4.0, Jeffery “Agriculture 4.0 offers a great opportunity to explore the possibilities of using new technologies to build upon our basic knowledge of agricultural crops. As the world changes and populations continue to grow, we need every technology, old and new, to help secure sustainable, safe, reliable, and abundant food supplies”.
With the help of the Agricultural Supply Chain, Challenge Advisory have built strong insights into how digitalization can be integrated into US agriculture. The mission for our Agriculture 4.0 workshop is to help farmers better engage with the latest technology available in the market and present a wide range of solutions for the modern farmer.
To address these challenges, we have developed the AG40 workshop, a programme designed around bringing key stakeholders from throughout US agriculture together to tackle the most pressing issues in relation to the stability of the market.
