IpesaSilo partners with Challenge Advisory at the Agri-business Summit, Brazil: Sustainable Intensification 25-26th October 2016
In April, 2016, Challenge Advisory announced a project partnership with IpesaSilo, an Argentinian pioneer of the emerging silo bag industry who will be attending Sustainable Intensification 2016 this year.
Argentinian silo bag producers IpesaSilo today agreed to attend Sustainable Intensification 2016, with a view to providing as many of the 900,000 farms across Brazil with durable, flexible silo bags. They will be sending two of their representatives to Rio de Janeiro in October 2016 to discuss storage concerns with the various farmers and distributors across 27 states.
IpesaSilo are the pioneers of the emerging silo bag industry. As steel silos become more rare in Brazil due to their expense, cost of maintenance and use of valuable space, IpesaSilo offers a viable alternative to farmers who are looking for a flexible, inexpensive solution to their storage issues, allowing them to store and sell their crop at the optimum time for maximum profit.
IpesaSilo has two main factories from which they conduct their silo operations. These factories are both located in Argentina; Río Grande, on the southern tip of Latin America, and the capital, Buenos Aires. They also have two distribution centres in Buenos Aires, as well as subsidiaries in Uruguay, the United States as well as Brazil, where they have operated since 2004.
“We Believe That Brazil Is One Of The Main Areas”
Juan Martin Dedeu, IpesaSilo Commercial Manager, is delighted to be providing assistance with a concern in Brazil that is on the verge of becoming an epidemic. Speaking on IpesaSilo’s project partnership with Challenge Advisory at Sustainable Intensification 2016, he said:
“We are glad to participate in this summit and assist by providing innovative storing solutions for farmers, elevators, cooperatives and grain industries. We believe that Brazil is one of the main areas to improve in order meet the ever-growing demand for food. This sustainable growth has to go hand in hand with proper production care and a system that applies to every farmer.”
Karveh Cavalieri, Challenge Advisory Managing Partner, comments: “Addressing the storage and infrastructure concerns is paramount to resolving crop wastage problems and accelerate Brazilian agriculture. 96% of farms in the Cerrado region do not have storage options, and this means as much of 30% of crops are lost to farmers. We hope that IpesaSilo will allow for these farmers to achieve the best yield possible.”
Challenge Advisory proudly welcomes IpesaSilo to Sustainable Intensification 2016, and is delighted to partner with them to tackle storage issues across Brazil.
