Elio Tecnologia partners with Challenge Advisory at the Agri-business Summit, Brazil: Sustainable Intensification 25-26th October 2016

In May 2016, Challenge Advisory announced a project partnership with Elio Tecnologia, a Brazilian agricultural imaging organisation, who will be attending Sustainable Intensification 2016 this year.

Elio is an info-imaging services startup operating in the agriculture industry. They provide visual and geo-localised information, which lends to improved decision-making on crop health, productivity and eco-sustainability. They target farmers, traders and insurance companies as their prospective clients.

Elio Tecnologia’s founder is Luciano da Silveira Araujo, and he has operated in innovative technical design for nearly 20 years. In 2014, he was given a Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Award by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for ELIO 01, a non-tripulated airship based business project. After initial investment in ELIO 01, Luciano founded Elio Tecnologia, aiming to provide remote info-imaging solutions for more productive and sustainable farming.

On providing Brazilian agriculture with technological expertise, Luciano Araujo stated: “It is truly exciting to engage in such a relevant gathering of players committed to both improve and innovate Brazilian agriculture, treating productivity and sustainability as parts of the same equation. Elio Tecnologia aims to have a major role in this new pattern of managing land and biological resources in Brazil through the intensive use of info-imaging services.

Also commenting on Elio’s participation in Sustainable Intensification, Challenge Advisory Senior Vice President of Industrials John Kennedy declared: “Although Elio Tecnologia are a very young startup, Challenge Advisory have been substantially impressed with the progress they have made in a short space of time, and have invited them to Sustainable Intensification with the knowledge they will offer completely novel insights into the way Brazilian agriculture observes its fields. We wish them the best of fortune establishing partnerships with our stakeholders and clients.”
