Apple Watch 3 and everything you need to know before its release
A rumour is rife that the Apple Watch 3 will be released this Autumn. Although there is no fixed release date specified as of yet, we are expecting it to release in the first two weeks of September.
Considering that Apple usually releases its new devices on Mondays or Tuesdays, the release date should be on the 4th or the 5th of September.
We could also have a double release on our hands with the iPhone 8 and Apple Watch. It is still to be seen whether Apple releases the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 7s. Some rumours have it that they will be releasing both these phones this year anyway. Also, it is predicted that the iPhone 8 will be short in supply for the market in its initial months. Buyers will, therefore, have to either wait for a while or give in to the high costs for the Apple device on its release.
Getting back to the matter at hand, or rather ‘on’ the hand, the Apple Watch does promise to provide an all new form factor. The Apple watch Series 2, came with many features and specs that were a delight for users. A built in GPS, 50-metre water resistance, heart rate sensor, and dedicated workout app were just some of the breakthrough features provided by the watch.
The new watch, like all Apple products, should have all of these features as well as many additional ones. Although something that Apple wants to work on in the future, voice calls will not be possible from the watch in this particular edition.
Fans can look forward to a better, faster operating system, better brightness, increased accessibility, along with improvements on the currently existing features.
The size of the watch should be the same of 38mm and 42mm. Also, there are no signs of Apple changing its screen into a circular dial like many of its competitors have. Thankfully we all love the square dial. Right?
Speaking of the screen, we are expecting the resolution to remain at 390 x 312. The resolution of the Watch 2 isn’t that bad, but it is something that can definitely be improved on. Although not particularly pixelated, the display is not as sharp as it could be. A detail that definitely doesn’t bother traditional watches. #thuglife
We should also expect this one to be up to 50m waterproof. With the size of the watch being the same, we can’t really expect it to be any lighter. However, that is one aspect that apple is continuously working on.
3D Touch on the apple watch could also be a feature, considering its inception on the iPhones. 3D Touch might enable better accessibility as well as open the potential to future updates.
Although we are waiting for some kind of breakthrough in the new apple watch, it might not be all that innovative. We can only speculate and circulate the rumours. We just have to wait till the release in September and then decide.
