March 22, 2016: Argentinian silo bag producers Ipesa today agreed to attend Sustainable Intensification 2016, with a view to providing as many of the 900,000 farms across Brazil with durable, flexible silo bags. They will be sending two of their representatives to Rio de Janeiro in October 2016 to discuss storage concerns with the various farmers and distributors across 27 states.

Flexible and Durable Storage For Brazil

Ipesa are the pioneers of the emerging silo bag industry. As steel silos become more rare in Brazil due to their expense, cost of maintenance and use of valuable space, Ipesa offers a viable alternative to farmers who are looking for a flexible, inexpensive solution to their storage issues, allowing them to store and sell their crop at the optimum time for maximum profit.   With a production capacity of around 100,000 tons per year in plastics, Ipesa has four factories, three of them located in the province of Buenos Aires and Rio Grande. With an area of 30,000 square metres dedicated for total production of Ipesa Silobags since 2003, Ipesa have invested in the promising Brazilian market, opening a factory in São Paulo to take advantage of the Brazilian market and effectively serve the main agricultural regions of Brazil.   Karveh Cavalieri, Challenge Advisory Managing Partner, comments: “Addressing the storage and infrastructure concerns is paramount to resolving crop wastage problems and accelerate Brazilian agriculture. 96% of farms in the Cerrado region do not have storage options, and this means as much of 30% of crops are lost to farmers. We hope that Ipesa will allow for these farmers to achieve the best yield possible.”   Challenge Advisory welcomes Ipesa to Sustainable Intensification 2016, and is proud to partner with them to tackle storage issues across Brazil.   Ipesa Contact Information: Juan Martin Dedeu, Commercial Manager, Ipesa jdedeu@ipesa.com.ar About Challenge Advisory: Challenge Advisory is a global advisory firm that specialises in business development and innovation.
