Online Public Health Degree
With an online public health degree,
you'll know how to design and implement programs promoting health among disadvantaged
populations. There are three different degrees you can pursue: the Master of Public
Health (MPH), the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), and the PhD in Public
Health.
If you pursue an MPH, you will learn through practice-based lessons how to work with
communities to identify their needs and resources, and how to design plans to address
those needs. On completing the degree, you will be able to design health programs
for communities.
If you pursue an MSPH, you will learn population-based methods for assessing a community's
health needs and resources, and how to design plans to address those needs. On completing
the degree, you will be able to design health programs for communities and individuals.
If you pursue a PhD, you will study large-scale health problems and the techniques
for addressing them. And you will acquire research skills that will prepare you for
an academic career or service to public or private agencies.
