Medical Device Training
A medical device training program
gives you the skills you need to operate non-invasive diagnostic medical equipment
such as ultrasound sonographs. You will take courses in medical terminology and in
the safe operation of diagnostic equipment. You will learn how to explain to patients
the purposes of their diagnostic procedures and of how the physicians will interpret
the results. Depending on the program, you might also serve an externship, allowing
you to work in the office of a cooperating physician, clinic, or other healthcare
faculty.
Once you have completed your training, you will be qualified for entry-level work
at a hospital, physician's office, clinic, or diagnostic imaging center.
