Bachelor Degree Program Oncampus
To earn this undergraduate degree,
you will be required to complete 120 semester units of coursework, usually in four
years. If you have already completed an associate degree, you can usually transfer
sixty hours of that degree towards your bachelor's degree. Your course of study includes
a major, a set of general courses, and elective courses. You will need a bachelor's
degree to be considered for employment by many companies, or to be accepted into
graduate school.
There are two main types of bachelor's degree. If you get a BA (bachelor of arts)
degree, that means you majored in the liberal arts: for example, literature, philosophy,
the social sciences, and often the life and physical sciences.
If you get a BS (bachelor of science) degree, that means your major was in engineering,
the physical sciences, or the life sciences.
